Designing, developing & implementing the e-Business capability in an organisation is a skilled position that requires qualified e-Business Engineers who can optimise the organisation's online position. This encompasses a range of activity in website development from design of web pages to online marketing, payment and security and integration with existing backoffice systems.

The Scottish Academy has been set up to meet this need for individuals and organisations operating within the Scottish business community.

What does the training entail?
The e-Business Engineer training programme consists of a blended mix of day release and online course material augmented by a mentored work based project. Training is delivered by qualified tutors using ILM approved course materials and approved technical curriculum materials.

The day release practical sessions are organised over 20 week cycles with access to supporting online learning materials throughout.

The e-Business Engineer training programme is built around the following content:

The Scottish e-Skills Academy reserves the right to change course content

Outwith the practical sessions, participants are required to implement the newly acquired skills through a work based project assigned by their line manager and mentored by experienced tutors.

With the above vendor certification, e-Business Engineers can progress to follow-on training courses of the Macromedia or CIW programmes.
